OrderPay
Guide 6 of 10

Collect the information needed to accept and fulfil an order.

A catering intake should collect enough information for a clear offer and reliable handoff, while avoiding unsupported sensitive data and details that have no defined use or retention period.

Separate selection from enquiry

Use products, variants, and modifiers for structured choices with known prices. Use bounded form fields only for information that cannot be represented by those controls and has an identified owner.

Minimise personal data

Explain why each field is needed, avoid free text where a constrained option works, do not solicit unsupported sensitive data, and choose a retention period that matches the operating purpose.

Define acceptance

State whether the configured path is a paid order or an enquiry requiring later review. Do not imply that submitting details creates a confirmed order if payment and capacity checks are still outstanding.

Test fulfilment detail

Verify dates, time zones, location, address boundaries, contact details, pickup or delivery window, fees, instructions, packing ownership, and the process for an authorised change.
